Buffalo Bill of Rights
1. To be honored with respect to their cultural and spiritual significance
to the Indigenous people of this continent.

2. To be recognized for their potential to educate our communities
regarding sustainable co-existence between humans and wildlife.

3. Re-establish historical migration patterns.

4. Establish a sustainable population growth rate.

5. Fulfill their inherent ecological role within their native range.

6. Exist within their innate social structure and functional herd dynamic.

7. Live out their natural life cycle as a wild species.

8. Exist as the genetic wellspring for future wild, free ranging
    bison populations.
The Yellowstone herd is both genetically and behaviorally unique, being the only herd with continuously wild ancestry from the days when 50 million buffalo migrated freely across the Great Plains. At the end of the 19th century, after tens of millions had been slaughtered, only 23 wild buffalo survived. Taking refuge in Yellowstone's remote Pelican Valley, this remnant herd ensured the survival of the species in the wild. Today there are a little more than 3,000 buffalo living in and around Yellowstone, comprising America's only free-roaming and unfenced population-bfc website

Hello
Okay it worked this is so cool
Hallo this is a test run from my phone to my blog lol

Welcome

In about 2 and a half weeks i will take a volunteer trip to the Buffalo Field Campaign in West Yellowstone, Montana. The BFC has been working in the field continuously for 15 years to save the last pure wild herd of American Bison. When these Buffalo migrate in the spring to lower elevations to give birth to there young, they have venture out of the park, some meet a sad fate, buffalo slaughter. :( This is the point of my travel's, a 3 week long trip in below freezing temperatures to save one of the few remaining buffalo populations in the U.S. that does not contain buffalo-domestic cattle hybrids.
